The AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D Anniversary Edition is a desktop processor with 8 cores, released in 2026 at an MSRP of $349. It is part of the Ryzen 7 lineup, using the Ryzen 5000 platform, and fits the AM4 socket. Internally, it is built on the "Zen 3" architecture. Thanks to AMD Simultaneous Multi-Threading (SMT), each core can handle two instruction streams simultaneously, yielding a total of 16 threads for improved parallelism. The Ryzen 7 5800X3D Anniversary Edition has a base clock of 3.4 GHz and can boost up to 4.5 GHz depending on workload and thermal headroom. AMD manufactures the "Zen 3" silicon on a TSMC 7nm process node. Its multiplier is locked, so any overclocking has to come from raising the base clock rather than the multiplier. This processor supports DDR4 memory. ECC memory is also supported, important for mission-critical workloads. With a TDP of 105W, the Ryzen 7 5800X3D Anniversary Edition sits in a typical power envelope for a modern desktop CPU. This processor has no integrated graphics — a discrete GPU is required. The cache hierarchy consists of 32KB/core of L1, 4MB of L2, and 96MB of L3 cache — an unusually large L3 that greatly benefits latency-sensitive workloads like gaming.

Differences are cosmetic: special anniversary packaging and a bundled Carbice Ice Pad thermal interface material. AMD redesigned the 3D V-Cache packaging process as the original manufacturing method was no longer available. Launched at $349, $100 below the original 2022 MSRP.
