The AMD Ryzen 9 PRO 9965 is a desktop processor in AMD's Ryzen 9 range. It is one of 9 processors in its series, sitting between the Ryzen 9 9900X and the Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 Dual Edition on cores and clock speed. Its multiplier is locked, so any overclocking has to come from the base clock. At 170W it needs a capable cooling setup. ECC memory is supported, provided the motherboard enables it. Its 64MB of L3 cache is unusually large, which benefits latency-sensitive workloads like gaming.
PRO commercial variant (Granite Ridge, 16 cores), 170W. OEM / commercial channel; locked multiplier (no overclocking, PBO or EXPO). Launched 30 Jun 2026.
