The AMD Ryzen 9 PRO 9955 is a desktop processor in AMD's Ryzen 9 range. It is in the entry tier of the 9 processors in its series, with the fewest cores and the lowest boost clock; the next step up is the Ryzen 9 9900X3D. Its multiplier is locked, so any overclocking has to come from the base clock. ECC memory is supported, provided the motherboard enables it. Its 64MB of L3 cache is unusually large, which benefits latency-sensitive workloads like gaming.
PRO commercial variant (Granite Ridge, 12 cores), 120W. OEM / commercial channel; locked multiplier (no overclocking, PBO or EXPO). Launched 30 Jun 2026.
