Overview

The AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 4750G is a desktop processor with 8 cores, released in 2020 at an MSRP of $309. It is part of the Ryzen 7 lineup, using the Ryzen 4000G platform, and fits the AM4 socket. Internally, it is built on the "Zen 2" architecture. Thanks to AMD Simultaneous Multi-Threading (SMT), each core can handle two instruction streams simultaneously, yielding a total of 16 threads for improved parallelism. The Ryzen 7 PRO 4750G has a base clock of 3.6 GHz and can boost up to 4.4 GHz depending on workload and thermal headroom. AMD manufactures the "Zen 2" silicon on a 7nm process node. Its multiplier is locked, so any overclocking has to come from raising the base clock rather than the multiplier. This processor supports DDR4 memory. ECC memory is also supported, important for mission-critical workloads. With a TDP of 65W, the Ryzen 7 PRO 4750G is an efficient chip suitable for modest cooling solutions. Integrated graphics are provided by the Radeon RX Vega 8 solution, so a discrete GPU is not required for display output. The cache hierarchy consists of 64KB/core of L1, 4MB of L2, and 8MB of L3 cache.

Adds AMD's PRO enterprise feature set over the standard 4700G — full-disk Memory Guard encryption, DASH remote manageability, and a longer commercial support commitment for driver and BIOS updates. Sold primarily through OEM commercial channels rather than retail.
