Opteron 4365 EE

AMD · Opteron · 2012 · Socket C32

Overview

The AMD Opteron 4365 EE is a server processor with 8 cores, released in 2012. It is part of the Opteron lineup, using the Opteron 4300 platform, and fits the Socket C32 socket. Internally, it is built on the "Piledriver" architecture. The Opteron 4365 EE has a base clock of 2 GHz and can boost up to 2.8 GHz depending on workload and thermal headroom. AMD manufactures the "Piledriver" silicon on a 32nm process node. This processor supports DDR3 memory across 2 channels, with ECC support standard for data integrity in server workloads. It supports both single-socket (1P) and dual-socket (2P) configurations. With a TDP of 40W, the Opteron 4365 EE is an efficient chip suitable for modest cooling solutions. The cache hierarchy consists of no dedicated of L1, 2MB/module of L2, and 8MB of L3 cache.

8-core Piledriver Opteron (Seoul) at 2GHz (up to 2.8GHz with Turbo Core) on Socket C32, launched December 2012. Seoul is the Piledriver refresh of the C32 4000 series, succeeding Valencia with higher clocks. It targets low-cost, power-optimised one- and two-socket servers. The EE (energy-efficient) bin is the lowest-power option in its series at 40W.
