Opteron 4334

AMD · Opteron · 2012 · Socket C32

Overview

The AMD Opteron 4334 is a server processor with 6 cores, released in 2012 at an MSRP of $191. It is part of the Opteron lineup, using the Opteron 4300 platform, and fits the Socket C32 socket. Internally, it is built on the "Piledriver" architecture. The Opteron 4334 has a base clock of 3.1 GHz and can boost up to 3.5 GHz depending on workload and thermal headroom. AMD manufactures the "Piledriver" silicon on a 32nm process node. This processor supports DDR3 memory across 2 channels, with ECC support standard for data integrity in server workloads. It supports both single-socket (1P) and dual-socket (2P) configurations. With a TDP of 95W, the Opteron 4334 sits in a typical power envelope for a modern desktop CPU. The cache hierarchy consists of no dedicated of L1, 2MB/module of L2, and 8MB of L3 cache.

6-core Piledriver Opteron (Seoul) at 3.1GHz (up to 3.5GHz with Turbo Core) on Socket C32, launched December 2012. Seoul is the Piledriver refresh of the C32 4000 series, succeeding Valencia with higher clocks. It targets low-cost, power-optimised one- and two-socket servers.
