Intel · Core i7 · 2018 · LGA1151
The Intel Core i7-8700T is a desktop processor with 6 cores, released in 2018. It is part of the Core i7 lineup, using the 8th Gen platform, and fits the LGA1151 socket. Internally, it is built on the "Coffee Lake" architecture. Thanks to Intel Hyper-Threading, each core can handle two instruction streams simultaneously, yielding a total of 12 threads for improved parallelism. The Core i7-8700T has a base clock of 2.4 GHz and can boost up to 4 GHz depending on workload and thermal headroom. Intel manufactures the "Coffee Lake" silicon on a 14nm process node. Its multiplier is locked, so any overclocking has to come from raising the base clock rather than the multiplier. This processor supports DDR4 memory. With a TDP of 35W, the Core i7-8700T is an efficient chip suitable for modest cooling solutions. Integrated graphics are provided by the UHD 630 solution, so a discrete GPU is not required for display output. The cache hierarchy consists of 32KB/core of L1, 1.5MB of L2, and 12MB of L3 cache.
35W low-power T-series variant.
