Core i5-7Y57

Intel · Core i5 · 2017 · FCBGA1515

Overview

The Intel Core i5-7Y57 is a mobile (laptop) processor with 2 cores, released in 2017. It is part of the Core i5 lineup, using the 7th Gen platform, and uses the FCBGA1515 package, which is soldered to the laptop's motherboard rather than socketed. Internally, it is built on the "Kaby Lake-Y" architecture. Thanks to Intel Hyper-Threading, each core can handle two instruction streams simultaneously, yielding a total of 4 threads for improved parallelism. The Core i5-7Y57 has a base clock of 1.2 GHz and can boost up to 3.3 GHz depending on workload and thermal headroom. Intel manufactures the "Kaby Lake-Y" silicon on a 14 nm process node. This processor supports DDR3L/LPDDR3 memory. With a base TDP of 4.5W the Core i5-7Y57 is an ultra-low-power design aimed at thin-and-light laptops. Integrated graphics are provided by the HD Graphics 615 solution, so a discrete GPU is not required for display output. The cache hierarchy includes 4MB of L3 cache.

Configurable TDP down to 3.5 W, up to 7 W.
