Core i5-14400F

Intel · Core i5 · 2024 · LGA1700

Overview

The Intel Core i5-14400F is a desktop processor with 10 cores (6 Performance-cores and 4 Efficiency-cores), released in 2024. It is part of the Core i5 lineup, using the 14th Gen platform, and fits the LGA1700 socket. Internally, it is built on the "Raptor Lake Refresh" architecture. Only the 6 P-cores support Hyper-Threading, while the 4 E-cores handle a single thread each, together yielding 16 threads: the P-cores tackle latency-sensitive and lightly-threaded work, while the E-cores take on background and highly parallel tasks. The Core i5-14400F has a base clock of 2.5 GHz and can boost up to 4.7 GHz depending on workload and thermal headroom. Intel manufactures the "Raptor Lake Refresh" silicon on a Intel 7 process node. Its multiplier is locked, so any overclocking has to come from raising the base clock rather than the multiplier. This processor supports DDR4/DDR5 memory. With a TDP of 65W, the Core i5-14400F is an efficient chip suitable for modest cooling solutions. This processor has no integrated graphics — a discrete GPU is required. The cache hierarchy consists of 80KB/core of L1, 9.5MB of L2, and 20MB of L3 cache.

F-series: no integrated graphics.
