Core i3-6100H

Intel · Core i3 · 2015 · FCBGA1440

Overview

The Intel Core i3-6100H is a mobile (laptop) processor with 2 cores, released in 2015. It is part of the Core i3 lineup, using the 6th Gen platform, and uses the FCBGA1440 package, which is soldered to the laptop's motherboard rather than socketed. Internally, it is built on the "Skylake-H" architecture. Thanks to Intel Hyper-Threading, each core can handle two instruction streams simultaneously, yielding a total of 4 threads for improved parallelism. It operates at a fixed 2.7 GHz. Intel manufactures the "Skylake-H" silicon on a 14 nm process node. This processor supports DDR3L/LPDDR3/DDR4 memory. With a base TDP of 35W the Core i3-6100H is a higher power envelope aimed at performance, gaming and workstation laptops. Integrated graphics are provided by the HD Graphics 530 solution, so a discrete GPU is not required for display output. The cache hierarchy includes 3MB of L3 cache.
