The AMD Athlon PRO 300GE is a desktop processor with 2 cores, released in 2019. It is part of the Athlon lineup, using the Athlon 300G platform, and fits the AM4 socket. Internally, it is built on the "Zen+" architecture. Thanks to AMD Simultaneous Multi-Threading (SMT), each core can handle two instruction streams simultaneously, yielding a total of 4 threads for improved parallelism. It operates at a fixed 3.4 GHz. AMD manufactures the "Zen+" silicon on a 12nm process node. Its multiplier is locked, so any overclocking has to come from raising the base clock rather than the multiplier. This processor supports DDR4 memory. With a TDP of 35W, the Athlon PRO 300GE is an efficient chip suitable for modest cooling solutions. Integrated graphics are provided by the Radeon Vega 3 solution, so a discrete GPU is not required for display output. The cache hierarchy consists of 96KB/core of L1, 1MB of L2, and 4MB of L3 cache.
PRO commercial 35W variant. OEM / commercial channel; locked multiplier. Low-power E-series variant.
