The AMD Ryzen 7 2800H is a mobile (laptop) processor with 4 cores, released in 2018. It is part of the Ryzen 7 lineup, using the Ryzen 2000 platform, and uses the FP5 package, which is soldered to the laptop's motherboard rather than socketed. Internally, it is built on the "Raven Ridge" architecture. Thanks to AMD Simultaneous Multi-Threading (SMT), each core can handle two instruction streams simultaneously, yielding a total of 8 threads for improved parallelism. The Ryzen 7 2800H has a base clock of 3.3 GHz and can boost up to 3.8 GHz depending on workload and thermal headroom. AMD manufactures the "Raven Ridge" silicon on a 14 nm process node. This processor supports DDR4 memory. With a base TDP of 45W and a configurable TDP of 35–54W, which the laptop maker sets to suit its cooling design, the Ryzen 7 2800H is a higher power envelope aimed at performance, gaming and workstation laptops. Integrated graphics are provided by the Radeon RX Vega 11 solution, so a discrete GPU is not required for display output. The cache hierarchy includes 4MB of L3 cache.
