Core Ultra 5 225

Intel · Core Ultra 5 · 2025 · LGA1851

Overview

The Intel Core Ultra 5 225 is a desktop processor with 10 cores (6 Performance-cores and 4 Efficiency-cores), released in 2025 at an MSRP of $199. It is part of the Core Ultra 5 lineup, using the 200 Series platform, and fits the LGA1851 socket. Internally, it is built on the "Arrow Lake" architecture. Only the 6 P-cores support Hyper-Threading, while the 4 E-cores handle a single thread each, together yielding 10 threads: the P-cores tackle latency-sensitive and lightly-threaded work, while the E-cores take on background and highly parallel tasks. The Core Ultra 5 225 has a base clock of 3.3 GHz and can boost up to 4.9 GHz depending on workload and thermal headroom. Intel manufactures the "Arrow Lake" silicon on a Intel 3 process node. Its multiplier is locked, so any overclocking has to come from raising the base clock rather than the multiplier. This processor supports DDR5 memory. With a TDP of 65W, the Core Ultra 5 225 is an efficient chip suitable for modest cooling solutions. Integrated graphics are provided by the Intel Graphics 1300 solution, so a discrete GPU is not required for display output. The cache hierarchy consists of 80KB/core of L1, 22MB of L2, and 20MB of L3 cache.

Entry-level Arrow Lake. 6P+4E gives 10 cores with no Hyper-Threading.
