Core i3-7320

Intel · Core i3 · 2017 · LGA1151

Overview

The Intel Core i3-7320 is a desktop processor with 2 cores, released in 2017. It is part of the Core i3 lineup, using the 7th Gen platform, and fits the LGA1151 socket. Internally, it is built on the "Kaby Lake" architecture. Thanks to Intel Hyper-Threading, each core can handle two instruction streams simultaneously, yielding a total of 4 threads for improved parallelism. It operates at a fixed 4.1 GHz. Intel manufactures the "Kaby Lake" silicon on a 14nm process node. Its multiplier is locked, so any overclocking has to come from raising the base clock rather than the multiplier. This processor supports DDR3/DDR4 memory. With a TDP of 51W, the Core i3-7320 is an efficient chip suitable for modest cooling solutions. Integrated graphics are provided by the HD 630 solution, so a discrete GPU is not required for display output. The cache hierarchy consists of 32KB/core of L1, 0.5MB of L2, and 4MB of L3 cache.

Standard locked-multiplier part.
