Core i3-6320

Intel · Core i3 · 2015 · LGA1151

Overview

The Intel Core i3-6320 is a desktop processor with 2 cores, released in 2015 at an MSRP of $149. It is part of the Core i3 lineup, using the 6th Gen platform, and fits the LGA1151 socket. Internally, it is built on the "Skylake" architecture. Thanks to Intel Hyper-Threading, each core can handle two instruction streams simultaneously, yielding a total of 4 threads for improved parallelism. It operates at a fixed 3.9 GHz. Intel manufactures the "Skylake" silicon on a 14nm process node. Its multiplier is locked, so any overclocking has to come from raising the base clock rather than the multiplier. This processor supports DDR4 memory. With a TDP of 51W, the Core i3-6320 is an efficient chip suitable for modest cooling solutions. Integrated graphics are provided by the HD 530 solution, so a discrete GPU is not required for display output. The cache hierarchy consists of 32KB/core of L1, 0.5MB of L2, and 4MB of L3 cache.

Dual-core with HT — 2 cores, 4 threads. No Turbo Boost, fixed 3.9 GHz.
