Core i3-7167U

Intel · Core i3 · 2017 · None

Overview

The Intel Core i3-7167U is a mobile (laptop) processor with 2 cores, released in 2017. It is part of the Core i3 lineup, using the 7th Gen platform, and uses the None package, which is soldered to the laptop's motherboard rather than socketed. Internally, it is built on the "Kaby Lake-U" architecture. Thanks to Intel Hyper-Threading, each core can handle two instruction streams simultaneously, yielding a total of 4 threads for improved parallelism. It operates at a fixed 2.8 GHz. Intel manufactures the "Kaby Lake-U" silicon on a 14 nm process node. This processor supports DDR3L/LPDDR3/DDR4 memory. With a base TDP of 28W the Core i3-7167U is a balanced power envelope suited to mainstream laptops. Integrated graphics are provided by the Iris Plus Graphics 650 solution, so a discrete GPU is not required for display output. The cache hierarchy includes 3MB of L3 cache.

Configurable TDP down to 23 W. Package not listed on ARK.
