Xeon E-2468

Intel · Xeon E · 2023 · LGA1700

Overview

The Intel Xeon E-2468 is a server processor with 8 cores, released in 2023 at an MSRP of $450. It is part of the Xeon E lineup, using the Xeon E platform, and fits the LGA1700 socket. Internally, it is built on the "Raptor Lake-S" architecture. Thanks to Intel Hyper-Threading, each core can handle two instruction streams simultaneously, yielding a total of 16 threads for improved parallelism. The Xeon E-2468 has a base clock of 2.6 GHz and can boost up to 5.2 GHz depending on workload and thermal headroom. Intel manufactures the "Raptor Lake-S" silicon on a 10nm process node. This processor supports DDR5 memory across 2 channels, up to 128GB total, with ECC support standard for data integrity in server workloads. It supports single-socket (1P) configurations, with 20 lanes of PCIe 5.0 available for storage, networking and accelerators. With a TDP of 65W, the Xeon E-2468 is an efficient chip suitable for modest cooling solutions. The cache hierarchy consists of no dedicated of L1, no dedicated of L2, and 24MB of L3 cache.

Raptor Lake-based entry Xeon E — single-socket small business server chip on the mainstream LGA1700 desktop platform with DDR5 support.
