The AMD Ryzen 7 7736U is a mobile (laptop) processor with 8 cores, released in 2023. It is part of the Ryzen 7 lineup, using the Ryzen 7000 platform, and uses the FP7 package, which is soldered to the laptop's motherboard rather than socketed. Internally, it is built on the "Rembrandt-R" architecture. Thanks to AMD Simultaneous Multi-Threading (SMT), each core can handle two instruction streams simultaneously, yielding a total of 16 threads for improved parallelism. The Ryzen 7 7736U has a base clock of 2.7 GHz and can boost up to 4.7 GHz depending on workload and thermal headroom. AMD manufactures the "Rembrandt-R" silicon on a 6 nm process node. This processor supports LPDDR5 memory. With a base TDP of 28W and a configurable TDP of 15–28W, which the laptop maker sets to suit its cooling design, the Ryzen 7 7736U is a balanced power envelope suited to mainstream laptops. Integrated graphics are provided by the Radeon 680M solution, so a discrete GPU is not required for display output. The cache hierarchy includes 512KB of L1, 4MB of L2 and 16MB of L3 cache.
