Opteron 2419 EE

AMD · Opteron · 2009 · Socket F

Overview

The AMD Opteron 2419 EE is a server processor with 6 cores, released in 2009 at an MSRP of $989. It is part of the Opteron lineup, using the Opteron 2400 platform, and fits the Socket F socket. Internally, it is built on the "K10" architecture. It operates at a fixed 1.8 GHz. AMD manufactures the "K10" silicon on a 45nm process node. This processor supports DDR2 memory across 2 channels, with ECC support standard for data integrity in server workloads. It supports both single-socket (1P) and dual-socket (2P) configurations. With a TDP of 60W, the Opteron 2419 EE is an efficient chip suitable for modest cooling solutions. The cache hierarchy consists of 128KB/core of L1, 512KB/core of L2, and 6MB of L3 cache.

6-core K10 Opteron (Istanbul) at 1.8GHz on Socket F, launched August 2009. Istanbul was the first six-core Opteron, adding HT Assist to cut cache-coherency traffic in multi-socket systems. It supports up to two-socket systems. The EE (energy-efficient) bin is the lowest-power option in its series at 60W.
