Opteron 2373 EE

AMD · Opteron · 2009 · Socket F

Overview

The AMD Opteron 2373 EE is a server processor with 4 cores, released in 2009 at an MSRP of $377. It is part of the Opteron lineup, using the Opteron 2300 platform, and fits the Socket F socket. Internally, it is built on the "K10" architecture. It operates at a fixed 2.1 GHz. AMD manufactures the "K10" silicon on a 45nm process node. This processor supports DDR2 memory across 2 channels, with ECC support standard for data integrity in server workloads. It supports both single-socket (1P) and dual-socket (2P) configurations. With a TDP of 60W, the Opteron 2373 EE is an efficient chip suitable for modest cooling solutions. The cache hierarchy consists of 128KB/core of L1, 512KB/core of L2, and 6MB of L3 cache.

4-core K10 Opteron (Shanghai) at 2.1GHz on Socket F, launched April 2009. Shanghai is the 45nm shrink of Barcelona, tripling L3 cache to 6MB and raising clock speeds on the same Socket F platform. It supports up to two-socket systems. The EE (energy-efficient) bin is the lowest-power option in its series at 60W.
