Overview

The Intel Intel Processor U300 is a mobile (laptop) processor with 5 cores (1 Performance-cores and 4 Efficiency-cores), released in 2023. It is part of the Intel Processor lineup, using the Core Series 2 platform, and uses the FCBGA1744 package, which is soldered to the laptop's motherboard rather than socketed. Internally, it is built on the "Raptor Lake-U" architecture. Only the 1 P-cores support Hyper-Threading, while the 4 E-cores handle a single thread each, together yielding 6 threads: the P-cores tackle latency-sensitive and lightly-threaded work, while the E-cores take on background and highly parallel tasks. The Intel Processor U300 has a base clock of 1.2 GHz and can boost up to 4.4 GHz depending on workload and thermal headroom. Intel manufactures the "Raptor Lake-U" silicon on a Intel 7 process node. This processor supports DDR4/DDR5/LPDDR4X/LPDDR5X memory. With a base TDP of 15W and a minimum assured power 12W, maximum turbo power 55W, which the laptop maker sets to suit its cooling design, the Intel Processor U300 is an ultra-low-power design aimed at thin-and-light laptops. Integrated graphics are provided by the Graphics solution, so a discrete GPU is not required for display output. The cache hierarchy includes 8MB of L3 cache.
