Overview

The AMD EPYC 8024P is a server processor with 8 cores, released in 2023 at an MSRP of $495. It is part of the EPYC 8004 lineup, using the EPYC 8004 platform, and fits the SP6 socket. Internally, it is built on the "Zen 4c" architecture. Thanks to AMD Simultaneous Multi-Threading (SMT), each core can handle two instruction streams simultaneously, yielding a total of 16 threads for improved parallelism. The EPYC 8024P has a base clock of 2.4 GHz and can boost up to 3 GHz depending on workload and thermal headroom. AMD manufactures the "Zen 4c" silicon on a TSMC 5nm process node. This processor supports DDR5 memory across 6 channels, up to 2.3TB total, with ECC support standard for data integrity in server workloads. It supports single-socket (1P) configurations, with 96 lanes of PCIe 5.0 available for storage, networking and accelerators. With a TDP of 90W, the EPYC 8024P sits in a typical power envelope for a modern desktop CPU. The cache hierarchy consists of 64KB/core of L1, 1MB/core of L2, and 32MB of L3 cache.

4th Gen EPYC 'Siena' — single-socket-optimised Zen 4c SKU on the SP6 platform for telco/edge deployments.
