Core i7-5775C

Intel · Core i7 · 2015 · LGA1150

Overview

The Intel Core i7-5775C is a desktop processor with 4 cores, released in 2015 at an MSRP of $366. It is part of the Core i7 lineup, using the 5th Gen platform, and fits the LGA1150 socket. Internally, it is built on the "Broadwell" architecture. Thanks to Intel Hyper-Threading, each core can handle two instruction streams simultaneously, yielding a total of 8 threads for improved parallelism. The Core i7-5775C has a base clock of 3.3 GHz and can boost up to 3.7 GHz depending on workload and thermal headroom. Intel manufactures the "Broadwell" silicon on a 14nm process node. Its multiplier is locked, so any overclocking has to come from raising the base clock rather than the multiplier. This processor supports DDR3 memory. With a TDP of 65W, the Core i7-5775C is an efficient chip suitable for modest cooling solutions. Integrated graphics are provided by the Iris Pro 6200 solution, so a discrete GPU is not required for display output. The cache hierarchy consists of 32KB/core of L1, 1MB of L2, and 6MB of L3 cache.

One of the only mainstream desktop Broadwell CPUs. Features Iris Pro 6200 iGPU (48 EU) backed by 128MB of on-package eDRAM — by far the fastest integrated graphics Intel offered at the time.
