The Intel Core i7-11850H is a mobile (laptop) processor with 8 cores, released in 2021. It is part of the Core i7 lineup, using the 11th Gen platform, and uses the FCBGA1787 package, which is soldered to the laptop's motherboard rather than socketed. Internally, it is built on the "Tiger Lake-H45" architecture. Thanks to Intel Hyper-Threading, each core can handle two instruction streams simultaneously, yielding a total of 16 threads for improved parallelism. The Core i7-11850H has a base clock of 2.5 GHz and can boost up to 4.8 GHz depending on workload and thermal headroom. Intel manufactures the "Tiger Lake-H45" silicon on a 10 nm SuperFin process node. This processor supports DDR4/LPDDR4X memory. With a base TDP of 45W the Core i7-11850H is a higher power envelope aimed at performance, gaming and workstation laptops. Integrated graphics are provided by the UHD Graphics solution, so a discrete GPU is not required for display output. The cache hierarchy includes 24MB of L3 cache.
